The Cell Analogy |
The Assignment is out of twenty marks, each project must include a hand built model and an accompanying sheet that explains the function of the cell organelle, the function of the related object in the model, and why they are similar.
Five marks pertain to the effort that has been put into the project,
| 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |
| did not hand in | incomplete | below average | average | above average | extraordinary |
15 marks are based on the students ability to adequately link parts of the cell
structure to the analogy they have created (2 marks each).
Parts of the cell that should have analogies linked to them:
| cell wall | cell membrane | nucleus |
nuclear membrane |
| chromosomes | cytoplasm | ribosomes | vacuole |
| mitochondria |
endoplasmic reticulum |
chloroplast | lysosomes |
It is understood that it is nearly impossible to find an
analogy that would adequately reflect all of the
mentioned cell parts. But, it is quite possible to exceed the 15 marks set aside
for this section as each
item is marked out of two and their can be up to 12 items included in your
analogy.
