Day 1:
  - Notes on "Basic Cell Structure."
  - Sample analogy of a castle given to the students.
  - Students are issued the analogy project due the day of the biology unit exam, click here for marking scheme.

Day 2:
  - Hand out the activity sheets "Cell Structure; function and identification of organelles."

Day 3:
  - Cell specialization and cell process notes are given.
  - Prep the Laboratory "Cells Under the Microscope."

Day 4:
  - Conduct the "Cells Under the Microscope" laboratory.
  - Work on the "Cells Under the Microscope" laboratory write-up.

Day 5:
  - Class time to prepare the cell analogy project.

Day 6:
  - Hand out the "Body Systems Package" which includes the digestive, circulatory, and respiratory system.
  - Internet ( www.users.tpg.com.au/users/amcgann/body ) is accessed to complete the packages.

Day 7-8:
  - Research the body systems package

Day 9-11:
  - Hand out the text packages for the "Digestive System and Nutrition Package," the "Respiration/Excretory
    Package," and the "Circulatory System Package."
  - The class is split into three groups and they rotate through the three packages over the next three days.

Day 12:
  - Review the "Body Systems Package," and the three text packages.

Day 13:
  - Biology related research topic, click here for the marking scheme and assignment details.

Day 14 & 15:
  - Research topic that has been chosen.

Day 16:
  - Presentation to the class on chosen topic.

Day 17:
  - Unit Test
