The purpose of this exercise is to
introduce you, the new chemistry student, to the elements on the
periodic table. By distributing the elements amongst the students in
the class, we will be able to produce a visual learning aid that we
will build upon during the course of this semester. There
are two parts to this assignment; the production of a visual aid and
an oral presentation. |

Oral Presentation
The oral presentation
should be 1-2 min long.

Visual Material
This is to be used by
the entire class, so it is imperative that the information be visible
from across the room. The element is to be presented on a 8.5"x11" sheet
of paper in the portrait view. If you have any questions, reference the
sample elements as posted by Mr. Sklar. Be sure the symbol is large and
placed in the middle of the sheet and place the atomic number in the
upper left hand corner.
