Prince Edward Island

As we drove to PEI you couldn't help but notice the Lupins
growing wild along the side of the road.

Confederation bridge that connects PEI to the mainland.
It is free to cross, but costs $50 to get back.

Lindsey poses at the information building before the bridge.

And so does Aaron with his New Brunswick hat that
was lost in the next few days :(

Welcome to Prince Edward Island!

Anne is everywhere, the gift shop is
one of the first things you see once
you get over the bridge.

Lindsey goes for a swim in the water by the white sand
tufts of wild grass and red rocks.

Lindsey poses on the red rocks located next to the beach.

As the sun goes down a few photos are taken on the red rocks.

Chalkboard welcoming us to the National Historical Site.

Lindsey reads about Lucy Maud Montgomery as Aaron
becomes increasingly bored.

A facsimile of Anne's home in novel.

A walk along Lover's Lane.

A creek running through the heart of Lover's Lane.

This is where Lucy Montgomery used to take little children
and abuse them by reading them chapter's from her book.
She was later convicted of child abuse and hung.

A picture of Lindsey with Anne and Diana Berry.

Lindsey laughing after having too much Raspberry Cordial

The real Anne of Green Gables?

No, this is the real Anne of Green Gables!

"Carrots, Carrots!"

"How dare you Gilbert Blythe"

The Raspberry Cordial factory in Avonlea

The main street in Avonlea

The church in Avonlea

Rachelle Lynn's house in Avonlea

Lindsey meets one of the islands other Anne
of Green Gables.

On Aaron's dive he finds an old Lobster trap.

An old Lobster

And a picture of himself.

This is where Lucy Maud Montgomery was born.

And this is the "Lake of Shining Water's" by Diana Barry's house.

As the day came to a close the weather started to get
stormy. As the rain trickled down we explored the coast.

And a few light houses.

This is the haunted mansion Lindsey wanted to see.
It was scary...
...but not fall down and cry scary...
...that comes later.

For supper we went to fisherman's Warf and had PEI mussels.

Lindsey had Lobster.

And Aaron had Lobster.

The next day the storm was amazing, after struggling
to get our tent down we drove around and watched
other people struggle with their tents.

A picture of the ocean as we moved on. Both days prior there
was barely a wave but on this day people were not allowed in
the water.
