Day 3 On to Quebec City

After I realized we were so close to Hawkesbury, I called Vicki.
She told us where to go and how to get there...an hour later the
three of us were having breakfast together.

Vicki had a great surprise for Aaron, she had just finished
a cake decorating class and for the final project she made
a cake for Aaron since his birthday was just a few weeks
prior to their visit.

Happy 23rd Birthday Aaron!
(Cakes don't lie...see...look close...it says 23)

Lindsey says good-bye to Ontario

Aaron says good-bye to Ontario too!

And hello to Quebec! (we mean "bon jour!")

We stop shortly in Montreal to visit Lindsey's friend Emo...

...pick out a shirt that says "we love Montreal" and...

...and get a picture in front of that world famous ball park without a ball team. Does any
one know why Aaron's chest is all puffed out like that?

A rare photo of Lindsey's turn to drive. Check out the Garmin...
we will never be severely lost again.

As soon as we arrive in Quebec we find our accommodations
then rush to Centre Ville (or Old Quebec)

Lindsey "just has to" get her picture taken
in the little doorway...which doesn't look so little
when she is standing in it.

And Lindsey "just has to" get her picture taken with the big
stuffed turtle in the window.

And Lindsey "just has to" get her picture taken with these
people partaking in the festival celebrating the French settlers
who first laid roots in Quebec.

Looking down the street in Old Quebec. It had been
over twenty years since Aaron was last here and Lindsey's first
time...and it was everything Aaron had built it up to be.

For supper a fancy French restaurant

Though we were definitely underdressed, the restaurant was
very accommodating and served us the frogs legs we had been looking for.

Photo opportunity for something romantic

Lindsey's Christmas store

And Lindsey's favorite sign

A view down a back street nearing the river

Aaron had purchased a D40X just before the trip
so there was a lot of camera trickery going on. Here
is a delayed photo where Lindsey stood in the street
for several seconds while the shutter stayed open and
people went about their window shopping around her.

Lindsey at our second restaurant of the night, we started with
frog legs, now it is time for some little rabbits.

For supper a fancy French restaurant

When the meals arrive, we hop to it...there is a lot to see.

An outstanding mural painted on the side of a building.

The doorway to a home in old Quebec

This picture is a composite of two photos, as the street cleared, the
two were merged to make the lane appear completely empty

Chateau Frontenac at night

As the night comes to a close, a long photo taken in
front of Chateau Frontenac
