A picture at the Kluskap (Glooscap) heritage center
on our way from Halifax to Saint John. Glooscap, according to legend
is the reason for the abnormally large tides in the bay. He was very tall,
wanted a bath, had the end of the bay blocked to make a tub, and when
whales hit the blockage with their tails the water swished back and forth
and continues to do so to this day. |

A pic of Lindsey's travel Moose and my Alexander Keiths. |

mmm...hits the spot? |

That's not right, wrong hand! |

Now that works! |

mmm...good!!!! |

"I love you travel moose!" |

A picture of us with our lunch in Moncton. We arrived during the
seafood festival,
but it was early in the week and all the activities for the day had either
concluded
or had not yet begun...so on to St. John. |

On our way through Moncton we had to check out their
magnetic hill...we have so much in common, their hill and my personality. |

Lindsey takes a picture with a lobster...what does
that thing way? It has to be at least 240 lbs, but at
least he is friendly. |

Or is he? Its like a bad Sci-Fi movie! |

For supper Lindsey opts for the crab leg special. |

On this foggy night I think this will hit the spot. |

Aaron opted to order Fruit de Mer, oh
no, they all appear to be breaded....yuk. |

Can this guy fake a smile or what? |

Lindsey breaks into her feast and Aaron
admits that she, on this rare occasion, ordered
something better than he had. |

In the morning we head down to the reversing falls. |

It must be early...this little guy appears to
be taking a nap in this flower. |

A good shot of the Bee's knees, not to mention his bottom. |

Aaron checks the weather system. |

In the afternoon we snack down at some bamboo
type place...the seafood is a 2, the pina coladas are a 10! |

At the museum we see the full skeleton of a hump
back whale. |

A picture of the courtyard outside the museum. The night
before we were outside this building and caught a little
of the "Saint John Idol" competition. |

Lindsey's other traveling moose. |

A nice shot taken down a street where it meets the bay. |

Our supper spot last night. A definite
must if you ever find yourself in St. John. |

The daily high and low mean a little different
down here than it does back in the prairies. |

Our first experience with raw oysters. Surprisingly good.
When we got back we tried it again but they were so large
you could hardly fit them in your mouth, then in Calgary they
were so small it was ridiculous. These ones were perfect. |

A picture outside steamers, their take out window and
locals enjoying the summer day with a open window
that faces the bay.

An interesting building on the corner
by the wharf. |

Our car is on the far left, in the parking lot were pictures
of famous people including Stomping Tom and Donald Sutherland. |

The Citadel in St. John. We just got there as it was
closing, so all our pictures were taken while sprinting. |

A clear shot of the lookout and holes
to point your gun through to protect
the Citadel and the harbour. |

Aaron and Lindsey making their way up the stone passageway inside
the Citadel. |

View of the harbour from the Citadel. |

Cots for the soldiers that lived in the Citadel. |

On the left is the reversing falls at low tide, on the right is the same
spot at high tide. |

The home of Moosehead beer. |

And the gift shop at Moosehead breweries. |

Back at our campsite we decided to have a romantic
dinner...hotdogs and mudslides. |

Lindsey and Aaron's faces can be seen illuminated by
the fire as the lights in the city twinkle in the background. |

A little pirate raids our campsite
before we disembark. |
