The first thing we did when we got to Halifax was drive past
it to Peggy's Cove to catch the historical area before the day
was over. |

A picture of the little harbour facing west

Then another facing north. |

The famed Peggy's Cove light house that doubles as
the post office for the area. |

A picture of each of us walking around the rock point on which the
light house was built. |

Another picture of us on the rock point, notice Lindsey's
Newfoundland shirt, the province is coloured in green, white,
and pink...the colours of the flag prior to joining Canada in 1949. |

Lindsey sends a post card from Peggy's Cove back home. |

Mmmm...lobser lane. |

A seagull patiently waits to be served. |

The first place we head inside of Halifax is the Alexander
Keith's brewery for the tour. |

The view looking into the courtyard inside the building that
houses the brewery tour. This was once outside and if you look
to the right of the archway you will notice a notch in the wall, this
is where horse carts that carried beer would occasionally grind
into the arch as the driver accidentally made contact trying to take
maneuver through the tight space. These days the courtyard is
sheltered from the elements by the addition of the roof and has
become home to the Halifax farmer's market. |

Large vats where the beer is produced. |

The area where the barrels are constructed. |

On the tour a replica of the Stag's
Head has been created...a bar that
would have been in Halifax 100 years ago. |

Welcome, come in... |

...enjoy a pint or two... |

...or three... |

...or four. |

A picture from the citadel looking towards the harbour. |

Lindsey checks he texts in front of the city hall. |

A tug boat in the harbour. |

On this night we went to the "Atlantic
Superstore"
and picked up some fresh lobsters. |

Great eats with garlic butter and lemon. |

The view from our camping spot. |

Two tour guides at the Citadel in Halifax |

A gun built on tracks so it can swivel and protect Halifax
harbour from everything from pirates to Nazis. |

A view of the main grounds at the Citadel. |

And before we pushed on we observed the firing of the canon that
signals twelve noon. |
